Before I explain how to use Twitter, I want to share with you why I recommend Twitter.  I’ve been using Twitter consistently since March 2008.  I’ve found Twitter to be a remarkable place to meet people from all over the world.  I’ve made business contacts, and created numerous new friendships.

What Is Twitter?  Twitter is a free, real-time messaging service that asks a simple question:  What are you doing?, and lets you answer in 140-character updates through your computer or smart phone. Your “Tweets” get sent to everyone who follows you, so they all know what you’re thinking, reading, doing, and so on.
